Disciplinary lead of the product team including UX design, requirements engineering, development and several suppliers. Established new requirements processes and launched a new JIRA/ Confluence setup while improving conversion rates on the website based on data insights.

TEAM LEAD PROJECT MANAGEMENT, APERTO AG – 02/2013-08/2015
Disciplinary lead for six project managers in the B2C unit, raising the number of long term clients in the team to 20+ with new business, subsequently raising overall team revenue by 30%. Successfully set up and maintained the first fully method-committed SCRUM team in the company.

The company needed to move out of the „proof of concept“ phase and set up an internal product team to professionalize the production pipeline and improve the services.

The existing ERP was to be replaced by salesforce.com and Zuora, but the launch of the new systems had already been postponed twice. The project was in need of a clear view and a new approach. JIRA and Confluence had only just been introduced, which in addition provided its own challenges.
  • Functioned as additional PO, project lead and team coach and reported weekly to the top-management
  • Introduced complete process- and requirements documentation from user story to test case in JIRA, Confluence and BPMN tools as part of improved stakeholder communication
  • Improved the ticket quality in JIRA and changed the method from SCRUM to Kanban which in turn improved the feature delivery rate by more than 50%
  • Conducted trainings and post launch support for the teams working with the new systems

TEAM LEAD AND PO, ASKLEPIOS CLINICS, 11/2013-05/2015
Asklepios Clinics needed to move from a mostly read-only and outdated website to a service oriented online representation based on customer needs, so relaunching the corporate website including dozens of individual clinic sub-sites was necessary.
  • Introduced Asklepios management to the SCRUM method and mobile first responsive development
  • Built and maintained the first SCRUM team in the company
  • Adapted the SCRUM process to ensure the flexibility of the future site for the highly
    diverse clinic sub-sites
  • Cooperated closely with the client on the backlog creation and grooming as PO
  • Managed multiple stakeholders within the project (Corporate communications, procurement, worker’s council, management and ASKLEPIOS IT dept.)

Volkswagen Think Blue needed a new standalone online site that stood apart from Volkswagen.de. Introducing the first responsive website for Volkswagen and getting customers to engage with the brand was the solution.
  • Responsible for the overall project from start to finish as senior project manager
  • Built the first responsive Think Blue brand site from the ground up including online games
    and other interactive content
  • Coordinated several different touch-points in SOM, website, events and online advertising at once to play in unison

PROJECT MANAGER, VOLKSWAGEN TRANSLATION AND CONFIGURATION TOOL, 2009-2011
Adapting Volkswagen product marketing campaigns (i.e. worldwide Scirocco launch) for individual markets proved highly expensive, time consuming and error prone when done manually. The solution was to build a web-platform that enables local markets to adapt the campaigns to market specific needs themselves and adapt the programming structure of the campaigns themselves accordingly.
  • Steered all involved departments designing and programming the platform, up to instruction movies
  • Coordinated Volkswagen stakeholders from the top 5 European Volkswagen markets plus Volkswagen HQ for platform requirements
  • Supervised subsequent campaigns to be technically and content-wise to specifications
  • Hands on support for localizing campaigns for up to 52 countries
