Project: Design and deployment of Kofax Global IT architecture based on data centers in Zurich (CH) and Irvine (US)
Duration: Jan 2007 - Jun 2008
Role: Project Owner and chief IT architect
Description
- Based on Microsoft, HP and CISCO technologies.
- Owner of the design and implementation of the data centers in the CH and the US, including:
o Virtualized server farm using ESX technology.
o Citrix farm.
o DB clusters based on SQL Server.
o Sandbox environments for Technical Services and development.
- Currently hosting +300 servers, servicing the test and production environment of the following services, among others:
o Microsoft Axapta.
o Oracle Hyperion.
o Avaya telephony systems and call center.
o Electronic delivery of Kofax products.

Project: Movement of US Data Center and Headquarters office.
Scope: Global corporate infrastructure
Duration: Jan 2009 - Apr 2009
Role: Project Owner
End-to-end responsibility of the movement of the US Data Center to a new location. Responsible for the IT elements of the move of the corporate headquarters.
Description:
- Successfully moved the US data center to new location with no downtime of mission critical applications.
- Organized and executed the movement of workstations and other IT equipment for +500 employees.
- Deployed Avaya IP telephony in parallel with the move.

Client: Global migration from Lotus Notes 6.5 to Exchange 2007
Duration: Apr 2008 - July 2008
Role: Project Owner
Description:
- Oversaw and managed the team in charge of the design and implementation of the migration.
- All mails and appointments were successfully migrated from Lotus Notes to MS Exchange during a three months period. Achieved 100% migration success with 100% data consistency.
- Organized the training of the users and support model for the new tool.
- Designed and led the support model for the 24x7 help desk and support of the Exchange infrastructure.

Client: Deployment of infrastructure for MS AX and Hyperion v9.3.1 and v11
Duration: Aug 2008 - July 2009
Role: Management Focal point for Oracle and responsible for the server and database infrastructure
Description:
- Acted as focal point for Oracle. Gathered requisites from the different business units and organized the team to implement the network, sever and database infrastructure.
- Negotiated prices and contract terms and conditions with Oracle.
- Designed and lef the support model for this mission-critical tool.

Duration: November 2008 - February 2009

Description:
- Development based on MS SharePoint 2007.
- Gathered prerequisites and oversight project management function and development team.
- Engaged contractors for initial setup of test and production environment.
- Successfully deployed first site custom designed for the Sales departments, in one month after user requirement phase was closed.
- Defined the 24x7 support model and the processes to populate and maintain the site.
