Project "Warehouse Tender France": migration of an external warehouse interfaced as SAP decentral WM from existing to new logistic service provider (LSP).

Key tasks
Fit-gap analysis in several workshops on warehouse setup and core processes (inbound/outbound deliveries, master data, stock transfers, etc.) with local business and 3PL representatives and central IT based on company template specification for 3PL connections.
Detailed discussions of technical specification of interchanged IDoc message structure for 3PL WMS development. 

Customizing of SD/MM-related setup and specification of basis-related setup and technical testing.

Functional Testing from IT-internal to interface testing with 3PL/LSP WMS (REFLEX) 
Definition of test cases and documentation.

Prepare for and assist in UAT with business and LSP at external warehouse on-site in France.

Keyuser training and provision of training documentation

Cutover plan creation, preparation and documentation.

Go-Live including MASS updates and HyperCare 

Create handover documentation and handover to support team

Techno-functional consulting for Intra- and InterCompany processes using IDoc-interfaces, e.g.,

* Connecting 3PL (3rd party logistics) - SAP SD/MM
Implemented 10+ IDoc interfaces with various external logistics service providers for a global
company (new connections, but also migrations / consolidations of ERP system landscapes as
well as middleware).

Covering all project phases from Kickoff, via Fit/Gap following standardized processes,
creating first test data and cases, design, customizing, steering of developments and testing
(UT / IT / UAT / RT) to GoLive / Hypercare & Support Handover including analyzing problems,
e.g., by simulating IDoc processing and ABAP debugging.

Apart from customizing and (unit) testing own interface settings, coordination of relevant
stake holders from business / functional teams / 3PL representatives / project lead and
various technical teams of the involved companies (technical contacts at 3PL / EAI / SAP basis
team / ABAP developers for enhancements), as well as further parties involved in the change
management process like QA, release management, SAP Solution Manager support, SD/MM
application support teams for handover und requesting batch jobs, and also authorization teams
for requesting batch users needed in new interfaces and authorization enhancements if
necessary.

* InterCompany processes - SAP SD/MM
Interface team representative for multiple country rollouts of various, SCM-led InterCompany
projects involving orders, order responses and ASNs exchanged between local subsidiaries of a
global enterprise.
Responsible for interface customizing, setting up or changing partner profiles, Change
Management, Unit Testing, Integration Testing, preparing structured walkthroughs, preparing
UATs, adjusting (or requesting if necessary) master data, batch data, stocks, condition data,
set up/maintenance of output control, etc. for preparing tests at all levels, discussing
cutover procedures for GoLive, and analyzing/troubleshooting any interface-related issues in
test, quality and production environment.

* Development support and management (e.g., picking up requests in global meetings, change
management) for extending/improving the company-wide 3PL / InterCompany interfaces at design /
test / coordination / documentation / change management (i.a. with SAP Solution Manager up to
7.x(Fiori UI))

* Usually multiple of the above interface activities were conducted in parallel
* EDI connections with IDocs converted to XML as well as sending as a flat file; Middleware
XI/PI/PO and others
* Project execution remote and at customer locations (at German company headquarter and at
subsidiary sites, e.g., in Japan or UK for design workshops and GoLive support)
