Setup & execution of sales organizations for market entry into Germany. Personalized B2B prospecting and lead generation by phone. Sales meetings at your client’s location. Performance management and optimization of sales teams through training and leadership coaching.
Responsible for founding & setup of the German operation of ReachLocal in Europe; starting as the first Non-English operation. During the setup, I headed a small team to deal with all tasks from recruitment, product localization, IT and operations in general. Very successfully, we managed the set up within three months - from planning to the training of the first group of sales executives.
Quickly after launching in Berlin, my team and I scaled the business across Germany within 15 months, opening sales offices in Düsseldorf, Munich & Frankfurt. I headed every new of office myself, on-boarded and trained new sales executives and coached through „do as I do“ by selling in the field for new employees. Within three years, we scaled up the business to more than 120 employees.
We went through the transition from being a „Market Maker“ to become more mature business and operation. After building a fully flagged organization, my focus shifted closer to direct sales & sales - managing direct sales & all channels - field sales & telesales. I still enjoy negotiations either on high management level of larger Enterprise companies, or owners of small businesses.
As a business, we acted as the raw model, not just for other ReachLocal operations within Eu- rope, but also as a pioneer within the online marketing industry. Competitors throughout Germany have copied the business model and the operational structure
