(Top5 ITinitiative) 
Strategic goal:Crypto Agility, Automation, Process changes, Service improvements
Without Cryptography secure digital business models are not possible and confidential information can´t be protected properly as required by regulators. So, Management Board decided to establish a strategic Center of Excellence Cryptography to support business units centrally in all matters regarding cryptography for future business and upcoming regulatory requirements. Additionally, future technologies like Block chain and Post Quantum Cryptography should be a permanent topic in IT strategy board meetings of senior management.

Role: Strategic project lead, PMO (multi projects), Change manager
  • Positioning within the 2020 IT strategy of Deutsche Bank and creation of strategy for Post Quantum Cryptography (PQC), definition of the goals

Strategic goal:Enable all staff to send and receive sensitive emails
dbSecureEmail is an all staff enterprise product to send and receive encrypted emails in order to fulfill regulatory requirement. The solution is seamless integrated in Outlook and iOS devices was developed in-house, so both sides needs to be managed- the technical readiness and the end user rollout to more than 100,000 employees.

Digital certificates are key for secure communication between servers and applications. When they are going to expire, critical business applications will immediately stop working. This can lead to significant revenue losses and in worst case to reputation damage. The goal of this initiative was to increase certificate compliance and to minimize the risk of server outages.

    First, one single unit should manage production and distribution worldwide. Therefore, within one month all countries received their launch package and a new product could be launch globally much faster than before. Second, reduce the all-over media budget significantly.

  • Centralization of media production – cost saving initiative 
    Strategic goal:
    Central management of all media production to reduce the global media production budget significant. For example, there were multiple photo shoots for the same product in different countries.
