MES Template and prototype definition

I have been collecting with the Business the list of requirements to be implemented in the MES template, we have also defined a plant where the first prototype will be implemented. We have spent the first 3 months to define the core template and the extended template requirements. The MES solution we have chosen is DMC (digital manufacturing cloud). We are currently working with SAP in order to define a roadmap of developments in order to fully cover the template definition.

PP/DS Template and prototype definition

Since February 2021 I have been defining for the Automotive branch of the company a global template to optimize the production process scheduling. We have evaluated different solutions available on the market, as well as internal developed ad-hoc packages. At the end we have decided to go for S4HANA PP/DS embedded solution (production planning and detailed scheduling). Our roadmap foresees to go-live with the first plant in October 2021.

I have participated actively to an S4/HANA conversion project, I worked in the project as senior PP/PI and QM consultant. We have adapted the current ECC template to convey with the new S4 HANA processes and requirements. We have chosen a big bang approach, going live in April 2021 with 300 plants. The project and the go-live have been successfully achieved.

Full life cycle SAP implementations and roll-outs across Europe

I have been rolling out SAP under the different companies across Europe ensuring to be complaint with the POC (Principal Operating Company) model adopted by MSA Safety.
The countries and the dates involved in these implementations are the following
All the business process requirements have been implemented according to the global MSA Business Blueprint. In some cases a fit gap analysis as well as an additional configuration has been required. The system has been configured according to the SAP best practices and the predefined standard processes.
The main activities in my role have been: implementation, configuration, training, data migration as well as coordinating an external consulting company
The countries and the dates involved in these implementations are the following
- South Europe (January 2014 January 2015)
- East Europe (January 2015 – January 2016)
- North Europe (January 2016 – October 2016)
- USA Texas ( October 2017 – April 2018)

Full life-cycle SAP Implementation

The company is a leading manufacturer in the production of hoses and fittings. We have implemented SAP on 8 productive plants located in Italy. As internal SAP reference, my role has been to lead and follow the project implementation, give priorities to the external consulting company in order to respect deadlines and the Business requirements.

Full life-cycle SAP and Rollouts - Consuting
I worked with different sectors and clients:
- Leading manufacturer of consumer goods. During the implementation, I had the chance to use CWM (catch weight management) feature in order to handle the loss of weight during the production process.
- Manufacturer of consumer packs: paper cups, muffins trays, baking molds, etc. Main responsibilities: process design, implementation, data migration, training.
- Manufacturer of indoor and outdoor lights. I have revised and optimized logistic processes and implemented new intercompany flow. The main activities I have been involved were implementation, configuration, training, data migration from old to new release leveraging on LSMW and Embedded SAP Integration technology.
- Manufacturer in the production of printer machines of labels and napkins. I have been involved in analyzing and defining logistic processes. As junior consultant of Project System module, I was in charge of WSB, Networks, and PS projects customizing and process design.
- Manufacturing Industry and after market electronic services (customer service)

I took part to 1 year and half S4 Hana Project implementation, we have gone live as expected in April 2021. This was a big bang S4 conversion Project that involved more than 300 plants globally. My role has been to prepare workshop and define solution with the different BPO key leads, running client presentations, blueprint designing, requirement gathering, building new solutions, prepare functional and technical documentation, testing solutions and go live support.
I have been working on the definition of a global MES template, we have been gathering the requirements from a pool of pre-selected plants, the next phase will be to implement a prototype for the core plants.

I have been responsible of the logistic support and change requests related to the following modules: PP/QM/PM and PS.
I was in charge to manage Projects within a budget in order to maximize the results and minimize the costs. I have been leading a team of 4 people, in order to define the Project System reference template for the group to be rolled out in the different R&D sites. I also supported the implementation of SAP MES / MII system.

SAP Logistic Leader Europe “PP-PS-QM-MM Expert”
Leading the following SAP modules PP-PS-QM-MM.
Responsible of implementing and coordinating the different SAP rollouts across the European countries.
My main responsibilities have been:
The company is a global manufacturer of safety products: fixed gas and flame detection, self-contained breathing apparatus, thermal imaging cameras and various protection equipment (fall protection, face protection, head protection).
MSA in the last year has performed many strategic company acquisitions and from an IT prospective it has been required to integrate these new affiliates in SAP.
I am currently leading the manufacturing part of one of these last acquisitions, the SAP Project is based in Texas and the go-live date is planned for April 2018.

Afterwards my main responsibilities have been focused on the functional analysis of production planning customer requirements. The main areas of interest have been: Demand planning, Master Production Scheduler, Material Requirements Planning, Production Versions, Planning Strategies, Production Execution. In the last projects, with the supervision of a Project System senior consultant, I have followed the implementation and customization of WSB, Networks, and PS projects.
