Software Engineer with a passion for Audio, Image Processing and Artificial Intelligence.
I started working as an Embedded Software Developer and already worked on every software layer. Beginning from close to hardware on microcontrollers, where i read registers directly and set up interfaces like I²C, SPI, UART and CAN, to configuring and modifing Embedded Linux Distibutions, until applications running on Embedded Linux or Windows Desktop.
If necessary i like to use Artificial Intelligence. I already developed an Artificial Neural Network, a logic Agent and a swarm Intelligence.

  • The firmware running on Debian Linux was extended by a licensing framework, the inter-process communication was enhanced and several toll-specific serial interfaces were ported from the old firmware.

  • An already existing application running on a Yocto Linux was enhanced by touchpad functionality, the exsisting audio architecture, based on Alsa and PulseAudio, revised and new voice commands implemented.

  • In cooperation with the Macquarie University an application for Windows Desktop was developed, which automatically detects and calculates the areas of different cell types of microscope pictures of wood samples. Three controls are available to the user to adjust the result. The calculated areas are shown as numeric values as well as graphically over the original image. The result can be saved to CSV-file.

  • In cooperation with the department of biodiversity, macroecology and biogeography of the University of Göttingen an application for the Android operating system was developed which automatically calculates the area of a leaf. The user takes a photo of the leaf and specifies a reference on the touch screen. By use of edge detection, similar to a canny operator, and a logic agent, especially developed for the application, the leaf is detected and the shape of the leaf drawn over the original photo. Based on the reference the area of the leaf is calculated. The calculated area is shown as a numeric value as well as drawn over the original photo. The result can be saved to a CSV-file. Using a specially built, integrated CSV-viewer all results can be viewed. For error tracking during the series of tests the application contains an error log.

I am looking for full time projects all over the EU. A relocation is possible within a few days.
