PCB Layout Engineer, Munich (Germany)
This is a Contract role with an excellent client within the automotive industry. They are looking for a PCB Layout Engineer with 10 - 15 years' experience to join their project at a critical time in order to deliver their product. This will be a senior role within the team.
Responsibilities:
- To produce complex multi-layered PCB designs (20 - 25 Layers)
- To perform validation and verification activities on completed PCB layouts eg layer stack analysis and isolation checks.
- Ensure engineering activity is carried out in accordance with engineering procedures.
- Prepare analysis reports where required for internal and external use.
- To work closely with the circuit-designers and seek assistance with the more technical issues.
Requirements
Essential
- 10+ years' experience as a PCB layout Engineer.
- Extensive experience using Altium Designer.
- Experience of Ethernet/CAN/Flexray
- Expertise designing complex multilayer (eg 10+ layers) PCB layouts.
- Capable of producing assembly drawings and items lists.
- Familiarity with PCB EMC techniques (coupling, shielding, filtering etc.).
- Good communication skills both verbally and in writing
- Familiarity with PCB validation and verification tools and techniques
Desirable
- Extensive experience with PCB schematic design using Altium.
- Expertise designing complex 20+ layered PCBs.
- Knowledge of analogue, digital and power electronics design.
- Experience within the automotive industry.
