Mainframe Administrator/Infrastructure Support - CA Datacom
A leading Global IT Services Giant require a Mainframe Administrator/Mainframe Consultant for a 6-12 month contract in Germany, Cologne. The Mainframe Administrator must have multiple years Infrastructure Support experience and hands on commercial support in CA-Datacom.
Mainframe Administrator/Infrastructure Support core skills:
- Extensive experience in installation, configuration, upgrades and patch fixes of CA-Datacom
- Production support experience in database administration of CA-Datacom
- Production support of all database issues and integration jobs
- Production support for CA-Datacom
- Working knowledge of DB2 & IMS Systems administration
- Provide on-call 24/7 Incident Response to database issues from production monitoring tools, Command Center personnel and Application Development Analysts
- Identify and evaluate Datacom, DB2 and IMS performance problems and fix.
- Participate in Disaster Recovery Exercise
- Continuously monitor database performance and take steps pro-actively to ensure a good database performance
- Installation, testing and deployment of IMS maintenance and upgrades
- Installation, testing and deployment of DB2 and/or CICS maintenance and upgrades
- Installation, testing and deployment of CA-Datacom maintenance and upgrades
- Create policies, standards and procedures for the database system support and usage
- Interface with external partners, customers and vendors
- Knowledge of Datacom, DB2, IMS system internals
- Knowledge of Mainframe infrastructure to include experience or familiarity with IBM Mainframe tools and jobs: TSO, JCL, SDSF, ISPF, CICS, IMS/DB, IMS/DC DB2, z/OS, WLM SMP/E, IDCAMS, IEBCOPY, DBCTL
