General Purpose
Proactively plans and performs advanced technical activities requiring knowledge in multiple areas or on a system level to service the customer. Prioritizes work based on customer impact, and brings expertise to customer site on need basis.
Main Responsibility
Identifies and solves proactively demanding problems and communicates them to key stakeholders. Participates as an expert in own technology area in customer projects. May support areas by participating in emergency and 24/7 duty. Is active in networking and knowledge sharing. Develops processes, tools and working methods.
As NPO Engineer you are required as technical expert to analyze and report the network quality results based on the performance data, that being either drive test data or network counter data.
The NPO Engineer should collect, analyze and report on performance data for those sites/clusters/regions under their responsibility.
In case of degraded Network performance the NPO Engineer should collect and analyze required symptoms, elaborate appropriate optimization measures/solutions, present and discuss the measures/solutions with NSN team and/or customer and support implementation of the measures/solutions in the network.
Furthermore he is able to support the development and execution of tools and processes to ensure the appropriate network quality is delivered from a Radio/KPI perspective
You are responsible for:
Collect and Analyze performance data and KPIs
Analyze Drive Test and root cause for failures and generate Drive Test reports
Monitor network quality and provide reports
Collect and Analyze further required symptoms/data in case of degraded KPIs
Elaborate and provide optimization recommendations
Perform Troubleshooting activities in case of poor performing NEs
Support implementation of optimization measures
Analysis of IF Traces, RNC/NodeB Logs and Drive Test Data
Consult with local affiliates/customer team to normalize expectations and develop working relationships and get acceptance for finalized sites
Provide technical guidance to customer teams/NSN teams as required
Network Planning and Optimization Activities (indoor/Outdoor)
Education and Work Experience:
> 5 years practical Experience in Planning and Optimization of 2G/3G Radio Networks
> 2 years practical Experience in Planning and Optimization of LTE Radio Networks
>Nokia Experience Preferred
Additional Requirements:
Fluent English mandatory & German (preferred,not mandatory)
