Linux System Administrator (Suse and RedHat) - Contract - English speaking Business working environment
Key requirements:
- must have strong SUSE and RedHat Linux knowledge and experience, recent experience administering both;
- (recent) experience in Symantec Storage Foundation including VCS;
- must be familiar with concepts of network and storage set-up;
- will have managed an environment of at least 250 Servers;
- experience in network based installations, eg Autoyast, kickstart;
- fluent English language skills, written and spoken.
Additional Project requirements:
- has worked in 24x7 conditions (no architects .. or "builders" .. ideally frontline administration);
- excellent debugging and problem analysis skills;
- recommend changes to enhance the stability and performance of the relevant areas;
- assist the user population in resolving any technical issue they may raise;
- deputise for the System Software Services Manager where required;
- possess relevant qualifications, overall excellent communication skills.
Overall Project objective:
- to help build, maintain and support Linux images in the Client's test and production Environments.
