Our client is currently undergoing a major ETRM system implementation and will value the services of an experienced ETRM Functional Consultant to immediately start on their challenging project.
Essential:
- Minimum of 6 years of business domain experience from energy or the financial industry is required for this position and a minimum of 2 years of experience in other ETRM implementation, ie Allegro;Openlink Endur and Energy One
- The ideal candidate will be able to interact with business users and client domain leads/SMEs to understand their requirements and help come up with IT solutions for their operational and strategic requirements.
- This role requires the ability to optimize the use of technology in meeting business needs.
- Knowledge of local Electricity market
- Knowledge of Front Office -trade capture OR Middle Office-deal modelling; pricing, limits verification, risk analysis, calculation, controls & reporting, operational risk, OR Back Office-netting, reconciliation, settlements, invoicing, reports, deal life cycle; or OTC and Exchange Traded Derivatives, Risk Management or Operations.
Responsibilities:
- The role will report to Principal Consultant and Program Manager and:
- Provide subject matter expertise to the client on the ETRM implementation program
- Liaise with client managers/business SME's to understand the problem statements, domain challenges and help shape/develop the roadmap for future initiatives.
- Provide appropriate input to the Programme Manager for planning & scheduling
- Provide some management and design solutions for projects and adhere to the project plan & schedule
- Provide functional support during Build, Test and Deploy of the complex enhancements/customization
Experience/Skills:
- Considerable work experience within energy trading and risk management
- Ability to quickly understand business functions
- Skill in managing internal customer expectations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and oral, essential
- Experience designing or changing business critical reports/processes to gain full value from technology solutions
- Experience working for a major utilities company.
- Knowledge in specific areas of Energy Trading and prior experience with Energy Trading systems configuration and implementation ie, Allegro, Openlink Endur and Energy One
- Some knowledge of SQL and applicable query tools
- Knowledge of development life cycle and support of applications.
