Job Description Regional Representative for KPI Acceptance & Tuning
1. Purpose of role
Client is performing in the Vodafone Network Transformation project the swap of old RBS and Siemens base station equipment to RBS6000 equipment for GSM (900MHz&1800MHz) and WCDMA (2100MHz) plus an addition of LTE on most locations. This network modernization is performed in 4 Vodafone regions: region West (Ratingen), region North West (Dortmund), region Rhine-Main (Frankfurt) and region South West (Stuttgart). Each region has a local deployment team which is responsible for site planning, civil works, ASP (E///Subcontractors) management and project management. The purpose of the role is to represent the KPI team within this local team. Knowledge transfer and in-depth discussion with the customer about radio performance are the key elements of this roll which will be backed from the overall competence in the KPI team.
2. Tasks and responsibilities
2.1. Key tasks and responsibilities for the project organization area
The KPI & Tuning team is responsible in the acceptance process for the radio performance of the newly installed RBS600 technology in the Vodafone network for GSM, WCDMA and LTE.
The acceptance is based on OSS counters for GSM & UMTS and based on drive tests for LTE. Those KPIs are analysed and put into KPI-reports.
Based on the KPI-results, the owner of this role needs to interact with our local Client deployment staff and our customer Vodafone:
Take action on failed KPI-reports
Talk to Client deployment responsible and ASP to identify installation errors (eg swapped feeder)
Discuss with Vodafone to get RFC (Ready for Customer) or conditional RFC in case of the cause for failed KPI's are not within Client responsibility.
Interface to Back Office reading all radio performance issues and radio network planning issue
Implement knowledge transfer towards our customer
2.2. Other tasks
Conduct meetings with Vodafone optimization engineers
Reporting towards the project with respect to KPI & Tuning and RFC status of sites
Work with our Back Office in Düsseldorf and India
3. Role requirements
3.1. Qualifications & experience
Senior knowledge and experience in Radio Network Planning and Optimization for GSM, WCDMA, LTE
Courses recommended
oOverview GSM/GPRS, WCDMA/HSPA, OSS-RC
oRAN Software and features of GSM G13, WCDMA W13, LTE L13
Good process knowledge about all NRO (network rollout) processes
Senior understanding of database management, radio network planning and optimization tools and field measurement tools
>5 years' experience in NRO/KPI & Tuning projects
Very good knowledge of the Microsoft Office applications, specifically MS Excel, MS Access
Very good understanding of Client way of working in KPI & Tuning domain
Very good English communication skills
German knowledge would be the perfect add on skill
