VP - IT Omnichannel Wholesale INTERIM (12 months) - adidas Group

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

The Vice President supports IT Omnichannel Wholesale (Wholesale Sales Solutions, ERP Roll-Out and Wholesale ERP Global Client) business with Global IT strategies and standards as well as productive state-of-the-art systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Functional:

  • To develop and execute the Global IT strategic plan in alignment with the business plan and agreed priorities
  • To deliver committed Global IT project scope on time and budget
  • To ensure usage of latest IT security technology and process controls
  • To translate business strategy, plans and future demand into a relevant IT strategic plan and roadmaps
  • To provide business customers with transparency on Global IT project portfolio, services and related costs
  • To identify portfolio gaps and ensure that they are addressed with the right Global IT delivery unit

Personnel:

  • To staff most suitable persons in direct report positions in alignment with HR Global IT
  • To set personal objectives, targets, guidelines and assess all reports
  • To develop the functional skills of direct reports
  • To manage all reports as an integrated team by setting team objectives, targets and guidelines
  • To ensure smooth cooperation of all direct reports along all interfaces

Controlling:

  • To measure progress on own KPIs
  • To report to all superiors along MIS guidelines
  • To monitor all reports
  • To provide realistic plans and forecasts on retail performance
  • To monitor and report on retail market trends and competitors and propose/initiate/take actions

To lead IT Omnichannel Wholesale (Wholesale Sales Solutions, ERP Roll-Out and Wholesale ERP Global Client) with the goal to implement Global IT Strategy and standards.

  • Complete the IT strategic plan, including a 5-year roadmap, aligned with business plan and priorities
  • Establish appropriate Global IT support model to ensure productive systems function (stability) in accordance with Service Level Agreements
  • Deliver committed Global IT project scope on time and budget

To work with markets to execute the strategy and standards within given guidelines to optimize and drive their local business.

  • Work closely with the markets
  • Gather input on market operational issues, priorities and requirements
  • Alignment on the what and why and when
  • Leverage knowledge/experience across IT departments
  • Consistent communication across the markets
  • Be perceived as one IT team by business

To manage Global IT Customer Relationship within Sales organizations.

  • Monitor and maintain Global IT Customer Satisfaction of the Sales Strategy and Excellence organization
  • Understand business strategy, plans, ongoing initiatives and future demand. Ensure this is reflected in GIT Strategic Plan and Roadmap (including cross-functional impacts)
  • Serve as the go-to person on SMT level for all IT topics where IT ownership is not clear or defined
  • Provide business customer with transparency on Global IT project portfolio, services and related costs
  • Identify portfolio gaps, and ensure that those are addressed with the right Global IT delivery unit

Other - Global IT Internal

  • Achieve annual OPEX, CAPEX and Headcount targets
  • Achieve employee engagement improvement targets
  • Identifying cost drivers and take appropriate measures for reduction
  • Participation in Management/Leadership Development programs
  • Co-sponsor of IT process dimension - achieve committed improvement targets

Key Relationships:

Internal:

  • Chief Information Officer and the IT Senior Management Team
  • Chief Sales Officer and his direct reports

External:

  • CEOs and Senior Vice Presidents of strategic vendors
  • CIOs for external benchmarks and knowledge sharing

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Understanding of all functions
  • Functional: 10 years of experience in IT
  • Industry: FMCG, automotive
  • Leadership: 6 years of experience
  • Exposure: international business
  • IT skills: Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Language skills: English

Requisite Education and Experience/Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree in business, ideally with IT, Sales focus

Number of Personnel Managed: ~90/4-5 direct reports
