RF Design Engineer m/fPosition Summary
The Hardware Design Team in Ulm, Germany, develops the modules for a Small Cell System. The team covers all steps from concept definition to system ready solution involving circuit design, board layout, performance evaluation and eventually transfer into a manufacturable product.
Job Description
• Bringup & Debug of a series of transceiver modules for different frequencies.
• Measure and characterize complete signal path including RF paths with frequencies up to 3 GHz, DAC/ADC circuitry and FPGA signal flow.
• Measure and characterize RF paths for frequencies up to 5 GHz
• Validate performance of transceiver modules
• Calibrate Modules for optimal system performance
• Support integration activities of RF and mixed signal modules in the overall system

Expertise Required
• Successful track record as RF Design Engineer
• Hands on testing and debug experience of both RF and high speed digital boards
• Excellent understanding of RF circuits and their behavior
• Good knowledge of characteristics of different telecoms signal types (GSM, UMTS, LTE)
• Experience in module integration
• Demonstrated good communication skills, teamwork and cross-cultural awareness
• Languages: Fluent English required, good German is a plus
