We are looking for a
Diagnostic-System-Engineer/Architect E-Mobility (m/f)

Your tasks:
  • Understanding & analysing vehicle diagnostic customer/OEM requirements
  • Technical direction and facilitation of an engineering team at a diagnostic system level during the whole product life cycle till production incl. end-of-line
  • Diagnostic system architecture definition incl. functional allocation to hardware & software, interface definition, design of diagnostic functions (block diagram level) etc. (examples of inductive charging functions include power electronic controls, bi-direction wireless communication via WLAN, vehicle positioning systems, integration of metal detectors, vehicle interfaces)
  • Creating functional and electrical diagnostic requirements of the ECU system and its software for an inductive charging system in Doors
  • Interaction with the OEM, Lead System-Engineer, Software-Architect, Algorithm Design-, Software Test-, Safety-, & Application-Engineers
  • Development and review of technical design studies and analyses
  • Support diagnostic system test specification creation, root cause analysis in case of false diagnostics, MIL, HIL & lab testing
  • Planning and tracking of diagnostic system development activities to meet milestone objectives


Your qualifications
  • Successfully completed engineering degree in electrical or control engineering or similar
  • Capacity for systems thinking and structured approach
  • Experience of at least one complete automotive product life cycle from a diagnostic perspective
  • Understanding of model based algorithm design, preferably electrical applications and according software implementation
  • Knowledge of automotive embedded systems, diagnostic tools and protocols (OBD)
  • Planning and organisational skills
  • Extroverted, targeted communication skills as well as teamwork orientation and the ability to convince with arguments
  • Commitment and initiative
  • E-Mobility, power electronics (e.g. inverter control) background is advantageous
  • Profound automotive experience
  • Very good English skills both spoken and written
  • Experience in requirements management (Doors), UML Modelling, Autosar ODX is advantageous
