Software Product Engineer - Automotive Infotainment
6 months, €40 to €60 per hour, Karlsruhe
Optimus Search is looking for a Software Product Engineer on a contract basis for a multinational in-car infotainment company based in Karlsruhe. This is initial 6 month contact with a likelihood of extension.

Work description:
- Setup a Linux based simulation for a complete head unit software on an X86 system
- Maintain and develop features enabling head unit functions like Mediaplayer, Bluetooth, Radio, Navigation
- Establish communication connections to CAN, USB-devices, external Autosar Co-Processor
- Resolve Linux OSS imports and maintain bugfixes for the base linux distribution
- Analyse mal functions and do troubleshooting of problems in all components
- Environment is Eclipse and a typical linux tool chain
Skills:
- Comprehensive C/C++ knowledge
- Comprehensive knowledge of OO concepts.
- Experience in Design Patterns, preferably knowledge of Frameworks.
- Experience in Scripting Python, Perl, Bash
- Comprehensive Linux experience
- Comprehensive communication skills
- Experience with SCM tools eg ClearCase, GIT, JIRA
- Required language skills minimum in English and German
- Experience Embedded/Automotive domain
- Systematic problem solving skills, debugging
