Oracle Database Consultant/Architect
Our client, a global consulting and solution enterprise is actively looking for a Oracle Database Consultant/Architect to join a new engagement with an Large pharmaceutical customer on a 3 month rolling contract based in Konstanz, Germany.
As an Oracle Database Consultant/Architect you will be responsible for:
- Handle large database estates and managed TB size of databases
- Installation and administration of software and database on UNIX and Window Servers
- Design and implement the backup and recovery strategy
- Design, implement and troubleshoot the high availability solution environments
- Manage and administer the databases on engineered system like Exadata/PureFlex
- Database upgrade and migration plan and possible implementation recommendation
- Write and troubleshoot power Shell, Shell SQL and PL/SQL scripts
- Coordinate and work with database vendors for resolution on major incidents
- Work with application, business and client managers on project tracking and effort estimations
For this position the successful Oracle Database Consultant/Architect will have the following technical experience:
- Must have strong experience on database administration, troubleshoot and best practice implementation on Oracle, UDB DB2, MS SQL and Sybase
- Database upgrade and migration experience
- Design, planning, setup and administer disaster recovery and high availability solutions
- Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning experience and recommendation
- Evaluate and implement the hot fixes, critical patches and service pack.
- Service Request and Incident, Problem, Change managements
- Configuration, Capacity planning and Knowledge management
