Java Swing Developer - JDK/PL/SQL/Multi-threading
Location: Dussledorf
Pay: € p/d
Duration: 3 month
I am looking for Java swing developer to join my client a leading global provider based in Dusseldorf for an initial 3 month period. Ideally this Developer will have strong on site customer experience and communication skills. The candidate should have experience in developing applications to cater to customer business process and should have knowledge in JDK (Java Swing), multi-threading programming, collections, memory management, and understanding of relational databases. The candidate in addition should have PL/SQL Scripting knowledge. Candidate having work experience in steel industry across process areas (electric furnace, smelter, hot rolling, cold rolling, cut/shear lines) would be preferred.
The candidate should be able to create documentations for the following activities (but not limited to):
- Training and knowledge sharing, system support, future state designs, and continuous improvement
- Proven analytical skills in manufacturing systems architecture and resolve complex business/manufacturing process problems.
- Experience in maintaining large scale applications (developed in Java Swing) in manufacturing production environment.
- Experience with client side frameworks, services, components
- Experience in analyze, resolve application, infrastructure and environmental issues.
- Experience in database modelling documentation and familiarity with standards.
- Experience with PL/SQL Scripting, database programming.
- Troubleshoot range of database problems with complex interdependencies and provide corrective actions.
- Experienced managing a global application rollout to drive global consistency while allowing for regional variation when necessary.
- Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus
- 6+ years of experience in PL/SQL programming in manufacturing discipline preferably steel.
- 10+ years of JDK design/application development experience/integration experience in manufacturing environment
- BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Economics or related field; advanced degree is a plus
