For our client in Nuremberg we are currently looking for

Software Design Engineer (m/f) - LTE Physical Layer

Task description

*Development of LTE (OFDM) physical layer software in C/C++ for mobile platforms

*Definition of ARM SW design based on LTE standard, algorithmic specifications and/or reference implementations

*Implementation of ARM SW in C/C++ according to the SW development process

*Definition and execution of test scenarios including module test on host as well as unit test on target HW

*Integration of the ARM SW and algorithms into the Physical Subsystem and Simulation reference model

*Contribute to system architecture work

*Analysis and fixing of internal and external trouble tickets and change requests

Required competence

*Minimum M.Sc. degree or similar qualifications in telecommunication/engineering in relevant telecommunication or engineering field

*Experience with physical layer software development for Embedded systems, and/or DSPs, with a minimum of 3 years design experience

*Knowledge of LTE or WLAN standards in the physical layer and future developments within 3GPP, OFDM, MIMO

*Experience in performance and memory efficient coding in C/C++ on Embedded systems

*Familiar with the usage of configuration management (CM) and error tracking tools (eg Git, ClearQuest)

*Support of further product verification, eg by problem analysis, debugging support or provisioning of fixes

Desired competence

*Experience with physical layer software development for Embedded systems, and/or DSPs, with a minimum of 5 - 10 years design experience
