Cobol Project Manager - Munich (Germany) - 4 Months - Euros 675/day
Project Manager required for our Consultancy client, they have an immediate role for Cobol focused project manager to work for their client over in Munich this will be for a 4 month contract initially with the view to extend.
Essential Skills:
- 15+ years experience in IBM Mainframe Technology in Application Development ans Support of Mainframe applications
- 5+ Years of experience in Project ManagementExpert on Archtecture and System design of Minaframe Applications Expert on ZOS upgrade acctivity and cordinaiton with IBM in resolution of issues arsing during upgrade Expert on ASSEMBLER NATURAL ADABAS CHILL technologies Experience on Cobol JCL DB2 VSAM
- Experience of working with cross cultural teams
Significant Practical Experience in using Project Management concepts and techniques (Practicing Project manager with sufficient experience
Will be responsible for medium to large sized projects or projects of moderate to high criticality (defined by internal and customer context) and be able to handle projects with varying scope and conflict, largely independently with only pointed/limited guidance/supervision from line/practice manager
Will be responsible for delivering the project using organization project management/execution tools to effort, cost, schedule and quality
Will be responsible for planning, tracking, reporting (internal and external) project performance (status and progress) on a periodic basis
Will be responsible to evolve risk mitigation and contingency plans and be able to manage internal and external conflicts
Will be responsible to engage multiple stakeholders internally and externally and make effective use of escalation channels to solve issues
Will be responsible to respond to handle unusual situations and evolve suitable approaches and guide others
Will be able to mentor and guide the next level project managers
