What is my job?
As a Backend developer you will drive the development of our Node.jsbased services. In particular the handling of huge amounts of transactions created by our IoT devices in the field, and serving aggregated data to our Frontend applications in real time are challenges to tackle.
Requirements
- Solid experience writing largescale, maintainable and well tested asynchronous realtime web applications.
- SOA and MVC are nothing new.
- Have worked with or willing to dive into building async Node.js services implemented using Promises.
- Experience with MongoDB or Hadoop/HBase, especially integrating them into the Node.js ecosystem.
- Appreciation for clean code JavaScript can easily get messy. Tools like
CoffeeScript to the rescue.
- Good knowledge of the Node ecosystem (Node.js API, npm, Grunt, Bower, AltJS
languages)
- Experience with unit and integration testing of browser and Node.js applications, e.g. Karma with Mocha considered a plus
- Knowledge of web application security concepts and bestpractices.
- A solid Computer Science background.
- Strong problem solving. You already faced extreme/atypical use cases and you had fun solving them.
- Excellent communication skills, verbally and written in English or German
- You get stuff done. We are looking for someone we can trust to do a good job without much handholding you should enjoy responsibility.
