Our clients, is a leading producer, publisher and distributor of interactive entertainment products worldwide, and they are seeking a Java JEE developer to join their development team in Dusseldorf.
Reporting to the project manager, the developer will be responsible for:
- Develop fault-tolerant, scalable, high-performance Back End game systems and services for mobile clients.
- Improve and extend existing solutions to meet the production requirements.
- Create maintainable and exchangeable application software modules to meet development and operational requirements.
- Write up-to-date and accurate technical documentation and ensure that it is available for all system components.
- Participate in the scoping and sizing of requirements.
- Collaborate with different teams of varying sizes at the studio and around the globe.
- Assure that the code quality meets the production requirements by writing and utilizing automated tests.
The ideal Java Developer will have the following skills and experience:
- Excellent Java programming skills
- Profound knowledge of key JEE 6 frameworks (EJB, JMS, JAX-RS) and specifications.
- Proficiency with web-service architectures, technologies (REST, SOAP, XSD/XML, JSON) and security concepts.
- Strong OO and interface driven design skills and knowledge of design patterns.
- Experience in asynchronous, multithreaded application development.
- Experience in creating services for a Service-oriented ecosystem. (SoA)
- Experience in dealing with relational (SQL) and aggregate oriented databases (NoSQL).
- Experience in profiling and optimization of server code.
- Ability to work efficiently with large, existing code bases.
Preferred additional experience:
- iOS and Android development knowledge
- Unity3D experience
- Knowledge of SaaS Platforms and best practices
- DevOps Technologies (Chef, Puppet, Capistrano)
