We are looking for a Windows Server Administrator for a large datacenter Operator in Munich.Windows Server Service is operating complete Windows Server Infrastructure EMEA wide for multiple global and business critical applications, hosted mainly in 2 Datacenter located in Munich. Windows Server Infrastructure comprises of approximately 2.000 Windows Server, 120 Windows ESX Hosts and 40 Windows Cluster. Windows Server Services covers order processing from installation to disassembly, complete problem and incident processing and maintenance of all Windows servers. Furthermore, coordination, consultation and development services for all the funded Windows server operating system topics are offered as basic infrastructure.
Key Activities of Windows Server Service - which is a Managed Windows Server Infrastructure - are:
1. Managing Windows Server
2. Software Distribution- and Patch Management
3. Server Virtualization (VMware)
4. Server Versioning
5. Clustering
6. Development
General Tasks of a Windows Server Administrator:
Managing Windows Server through whole lifecycle, Software Distribution- and Patch Management, Server Virtualization and Server Versioning
Significant contribution with project work
Third level incident and problem management in all WSS Service Areas
Order management (Change, Design, Build and Run)
Documentation of all installations, changes, processes and product releases, CMDB updates
Support upcoming design requests with infrastructure and network specific operational knowhow
Communication with customer, application development and global project teams
Daily Administration of all service-relevant systems and services
Comprehensive consulting activities in all WSS areas
Mandatory skills
administration and troubleshooting of Windows Server environments
Windows Cluster and Multinode Cluster
ESX VSphere 5x (VMWare)
Server Virtualization (VMware)
Automation of administration tasks using scripting languages
VBScript, powershell, cmd-Script
Process Design, Optimization and Implementation
Fluent english in spoken and written form
Web Servers (IIS 6/7)
Windows command line tools
Software repackaging, unattended installations
Backup Solutions (preferred NetBackup)
Project Management
System Center Configurations Manager (SCCM)
Development of Test Procedures and Scenarios
VB & Powershell Scripting
Basic development skills with MS .NET Framework (VB.NET or C#) is a plus
