for a Solution Architect (f/m) for Business Intelligence
Project environment
A Swiss Bank is working on the definition of its target Business Intelligence (BI) Architecture. As part of this exercise they are looking for a Solution Architect who will perform the following tasks.
Tasks
• Analyze the business requirements which came out of the BI strategy initiative.
• Review the current Bi landscape with input of banking Subject Matter Experts.
• Elaborate different BI technology stacks which could fit the banking purpose (e.g. based on SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, Best-of-Breed).
• Work with banking SME to define evaluation criteria for the technology stacks.
• Conduct workshops with vendors regarding the technology stacks.
• Prepare price indication of possible technology stacks (no formal vendor RfP but rather price indications of vendors based on sizing criteria banking provides).
• Write a Solution Blueprint Document defining the target BI Application Landscape and the integration with the source / target systems.
Requirements
• High degree in Computer Science.
• At least 5 years of practical experience in BI architectures in the banking area.
• Extensive practical experience with Business Intelligence Solution Architectures.
• Experience in the area of the DWH and Operational Data Stores.
• Good understanding of different state of the art BI technologies on the market (e.g. SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• Experience with technologies in the areas of structured and unstructured data, predictive analytics and data visualization.
• Technology neutral (i.e. not being biased towards one single vendor).
• Strong analytical skills.
• Capability to communicate efficiently with both Business and IT Subject Matter Experts.
• Capability to analyze the financial impacts on the proposed architecture – e.g. high level estimate of total cost of ownership etc.
• Fluent in German and English.
Nice to have
• Experience with Data Architectures in Private Banking.
• Understanding of IT and Information Security aspects in the Private Banking area.
