for a Senior J2EE Engineer (f/m)


Project environment

As a Senior J2EE/Java Engineer in a global Swiss Bank you will contribute to the design and implementation of Java based applications as well as the respective maintenance and 3rd level support.

Tasks

In addition to performing hands-on design, implementation and 3rd level support tasks you will:

• Liaise with Business Analysis to contribute to requirements engineering process and respective reviews.
• Conduct effort estimates for the respective project\'s engineering, testing and integration task.

Requirements

• 5+ Years’ experience in similar positions.
• Excellent technical and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to understand the partners’ requirements and quickly resolve any potential issue both in the project as well as in the productive environment.
• Successful track record in a similar environment for both of the two disciplines in scope here:
o e2e software development lifecycle with focus on the integration of 3rd party components.
o Incident management, problem analysis in a complex environment with remote, multi-tiered installations.

Technical skills

In depth knowhow (with demonstrated practice during the last 5 Years) in the following areas:
• Java and J2EE including clearly demonstrated knowledge of J2EE design patterns.
• J2EE component architecture, especially backend and security integration.
• Websphere and Oracle.
• SQL, XML, Shell Scripting, Perl.
• IT Security (authentication, authorization, cryptography, certificate mgmt. etc.).

Nice to have:
• UNIX Experience as a System Engineer.
• Storage and archiving solutions and resp. product knowledge (OnDemand).
