Introduction: Our client in the Berlin area has an immediate opening for a French speaking Web Tester
Role:
The focus is on finding as many bugs as possible (Knowing the Bug Life Cycle).
1. Within an Agile framework, collaborate with other team members to deliver compelling, high quality solutions via iterative sprint commitments and periodic release vehicles.
2. Perform manual testing to ensure the software meets stated requirements & designs, and has a positive user experience. This may include black box, white box, positive, negative, boundary, stress, integration, exploratory, usability, system, platform, or regression testing methodologies.
3. Assist in the creation and documentation of test requirements and high level test cases, followed by creation and execution of detailed test cases. This includes the creation of necessary test data.
4. Perform maintenance on existing test-ware, and implement incremental improvements.
5. Uphold existing quality assurance standards and processes, and be a champion in driving further improvements.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
*Must be fluent in French
* Must possess proper work authorizations specific to the job location
- 1+ years' experience with software and web testing, especiallywith rapid test methodologies where there is no test documentation available
- Strong exploratory testing skills and knowledge about how to build up a mental model of the platform
- Experience with established quality assurance test methodologies (Agile)
- Experience with standard software development lifecycle practices (Familiarity with iterative development methodologies such as Scrum is a plus)
*Must be a good communicator
- Experience working with Java, XML, HTML, and/or other web technologies
- Experience writing SQL queries to extract stored information from database servers
- Familiar with defect and task tracking systems such as Jira
- Some experience with HP Quick Test Pro and HP Quality Center or similar tools
- Ability to thrive as both an individual contributor and as a team contributor
- Solid problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Bonus Experience
- Test Automation using Quick Test Pro, Selenium, or other automation framework.
- Familiar with iterative development methods such as scrum.
- Experience with JavaScript and frameworks such as JQuery.
Languages:
Must be either fluent in French and German or in French and English. Ideally also Italian or Spanish.
