A Renewable Energy client is looking for x 2 HSE Site Engineers (staff or senior staff) for their offshore wind farm project. They are looking for 2 individuals who can start from the 1st January 2015 for an initial 6 months freelance contract.
Shift pattern:
Two weeks on/Two weeks off (7 days a week, 12 hours per day average, night shifts will occur.)
Responsibilities:
Support HSE Site Manager with tasks on site
Be HSE representatives on sites and be essential in relationships with contractors
Follow up on reporting from site
Tasks:
Report to HSE Site Manager
Assist HSE Site Manager
Co-ordinate and communicate with contractors according to activities, risk assessments and method statements
Health and safety, security and environmental arrangements
Overall safety performance
HSE site inspection reports and follow up on findings
Register and follow up on safety concerns
Implement Safety Awareness workshops
Onshore Site inductions
Ensure that personnel are adequately trained
Carry out competence assessments
Carry out vessel HSE inspections, prior to arriving on site
Take part in HSE meetings (at the site manager's discretion)
Daily onshore/offshore site presence
Provide HSE feedback to HSE site manager
HSE reviews of contractor documentation
Be familiar and up-to-date with the disciple and best practice as applicable
Qualifications:
Experience of HSE (preferably within construction)
