Job Description:
The LIMS Administrator is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining all LIMS-related programming.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain LIMS system
- Maintain LIMS Standard Operating Procedures Manual and LIMS Disaster Recovery Plan
- Build new test codes in LIMS
- Support the business in the retrieval of data from LIMS
- Maintain and validate the status of LIMS and perform controlled changes to the system
- Support training of LIMS users
- Work directly with laboratory equipment manufactures to understand and maintain LIMS/equipment interfaces
- Work directly with outside consultant(s) to oversee LIMS implementation; schedule on-site activities between contractor and internal interfaces.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences, Information Science, Pharmaceutics or related field.
- Certified training in IT-related field or equivalent
- Familiarity with IT systems in a Quality Operations context, and 1+ year experience of using LIMS (preferably LabWare) or similar systems
- Proficient in Windows environment; Familiarity with a variety of lab equipment interfaces (LabWare LIMS, Millennium Empower, QDIS, Xybion LIMS, Rockwell PMX)etc.)
