KDB+ Database Consultant
Eschborn, Germany + willingness to travel
Full-time: External position
Duration planned: ASAP until end of 2015, with option of extension
Our client is going to build a proof-of-concept for a Real Time solution to monitor the trading activity of their trading platform.
As part of this initiative we are looking for 2 experts to support the team during the design and development of the proof-of-concept.
The following tasks are involved:
-Design and implement an enterprise application offering user management, a web user interface and a scalable analytics layer
-Capture of Real Time feeds from the platform during trading hours
-Store all messages in a kdb+ database for historical and for Real Time analytics
-Implement an initial set of Real Time and historical KPIs to monitor trading activity according to selected parameters
-Create an example of a web UI with an interactive Real Time dashboard embedding the KPIs
Resources/skill profiles
-Profound knowledge of stock exchanges and market models
-More than 5 years experience in both Java and the q programming language
-Proven expertise in design and implementation of kdb+ enterprise solutions
-Proficiency in written and spoken English
-Highly motivated and engaging nature, positively assertive
