Deutschland: IP Designer (m/f), Projekte und Ausschreibungen

Be responsible for the IP network design of our client´s Mobile Data Service solutions hosted in Data Centers in various locations in Germany. Support Mobile Data Service product introduction as IP designer and planner.

Specifically, the technical tasks are to:

- analyse network requirements coming from new Mobile Data Service, Integration projects or from network maintenance demand (end-of life replacement, design optimisation, etc).
- design a network integration and extensively document it in "Product Network Design" and "System Network Design" documents. All documentation is in English!
- align the network design with the system architects, Security, Transport Network Planning, Testing and Operations.
- work out switch, router, load balancer and firewall configurations
- document configuration in the relevant Configuration Management Database.
- support the evaluation of these configurations in the test facilities
- work out migration concepts for the client´s Live Network
- place Change Requests to Operations (no change execution done by yourself, no
write-access to any Live Network system) using a Work Order Management tool.
- co-ordinate and troubleshoot the execution of Change Requests.
- co-ordinate small maintenance projects in the client´s Mobile Data Services data centers, starting from project initiation until final delivery including project reporting.
- support the Planning Project Lead in Mobile Data Service Integration projects.

- enjoy interaction with people from the various
functions in Germany or abroad

- high ability to deal with complex processes and responsibility split

- high self-management ability when working on 5 to 10 projects at a time.

- strong dedication to working as a designer with documents, reviews, meetings,

Change Requests, but without write-access to network components.
