For our customer we are looking for a design engineer (m/f) for the area "Bodensee".
Aufgaben:
- considering the already existing IT and COMMS equipment of the Pre-Integration Lab as basis for the low level design. Requirements for the new equipment regarding space, power and cabling shall be based on the already existing equipment.
- creating the low level design for the IT-System by performing the following activities and document all results in according design documentation (To-Builddocumentation):

Blade Enclosure
• Configuration and cable layout of Virtual Connect modules
o Definition of uplink port and speed used for SAN connections (GBICs)
o Definition of uplink port, speed and type (e.g. LACP channel) used for LAN
connections
o Definition of Shared Uplink Sets, vNETs and vTunnels
• Configuration of Onboad Administrator uplink ports
• Definition of used Onboard Administrator Firmware and configuration of Onboard
Administrator
o Definition of Names und IP-address used by Blade out-of-band management
modules
• Definition of Virtual Connect Firmware, Virtual Connect Domain Configuration and Virtual
Connect Server Profiles based on respective Server Class
• Design of Blade failover configuration
• Distribution of blades within the enclosure(s)
• Reconcilement Blade center components with the supplier (Power modules, amount of OA modules and fans)
• Definition of User accounts used for Onboard Administrator and Virtual Connect
Blade
• Definition of Blade components used by the respective server classes (e.g. use of additional mezzanine boards, memory configuration)
• Definition of Blade BIOS settings
• Definition of Blade ROMBIOS and FlexFabric controller firmware
• out-of-band management configuration
• Reconcilement Blade components with the supplier (memory modules, controller )
• Definition of user accounts used for out-of-band management
• Creation of Virtual Connect Server Profiles
SAN
• Definition of SAN switch firmware (in alignment with overall SAN support matrix)
• Configuration and cable layout of FC switches including Blade Enclosure Virtual Connect modules, SAN Storage Controller and Backup Storage Controller
• Configuration of SAN fabrics
• Definition of fibre channel zones (incl. Alias names, Zone Names etc.)
• Configuration of management network uplink port
• Definition of user accounts
• Definition of DNS names and IP address used by SAN Switches
Operational Storage
• Definition of Storage Array controller firmware (in alignment with overall SAN support matrix)
• Configuration and cable layout of IBM Storwize Control and Expansion units
• Definition of Disk-array enclosure types and disk types
• Definition of IBM Storwize Block configuration (e.g. use of IBM Storwize block configuration worksheet)
• Definition of RAID groups/storage pools
• Definition of LUNs
• Definition of LUN assignment
• Definition of User accounts
• Reconcilement Storage Array components with the supplier (amount of IBM Storwize Control and Expansion units and disks etc.)
• Definition of DNS names and IP address used by storage controller
Rack
• Rack Layout based on selected Blade enclosure, SAN switch, Rittal CMC and Storage Array components
• Configuration of power distribution units
• Configuration of Rittal CMC III components
• Definition of DNS names and IP address used by CMC III components
Overall
• Definition of network names and IP address of hardware components used in Maritime Pilot (including onboard administrator, Virtual Connect Modules, out-of-band management modules, SAN switches, IBM Storwize Storage Controller, server …)
• Definition of SNMP Settings
• Integration Hardware Components in System Monitoring Environment
