We are seeking a Web developer (m/f) for one of our clients ( (labour leasing contract, AÜG).

Responsibilities: under the supervision of the Project Manager or another expert, the developer develops, integrates, tests and documents websites (e.g. the Website) and web application modules to meet agreed business specifications. He/she also optimises the performance of websites. Design and drafts technical specifications of applications systems in line with the functional and non functional requirements. Performs technical testing and prepares the relevant technical documentation. Supports end- users during acceptance tests and operational teams during migration to the production environment. Investigate, diagnose and resolve bugs and incidents in the post-golive support of operations. Develop appropriate scripts and procedures for the build and packing of application components
Review and implement security policies ensuring data consistency and integrity. Develop a working knowledge of business processes implemented in the applications. Provide training to 1st and 2nd level support staff with new procedures and techniques for application maintenance

Mandators skills: University or college degree in computer engineering, computer science, physics or mathematics or a related discipline. Proven experience in application development design and support. Knowledge of, and proven experience in, developing web-based applications, with experience in several of the following fields: Java (J2EE), JavaScript, JDBC, Apache Tomcat, JSP, ASP, PHP and Taglib, Ajax, Xajax, CSS, DHTML, XHTML, XML and XSLT. Knowledge of Oracle RDBMS and related products, MS SQL server or MySQL as well as SQL and possible knowledge of C++ and PL/SQL. Knowledge of content and web management platforms. Experience and understanding of World Wide Web consortium (W3C) recommendations (standards produced by the W3C) and their practical implementation in complex websites. Experience in Web GUI layout design, HTML, CSS (especially familiarity with browser-specific support and bugs), including validation techniques against W3C recommendations. Knowledge of Sun Solaris, Linux, current PC technology and client/server architecture would be an advantage. Good analytical skills and a problem-solving orientation. Very good command of English with proven drafting ability
