Senior LAN & WAN Solution designer with experience in large enterprise environments (in-house or Customer/ISP) required for 10 month project in Essen, Germany. (German language skills essential)Core competencies, knowledge and experience required:
Experience of designing LAN & WAN solutions, preferably gained in a large enterprise environment (in-house or customer/ISP)
Experience of dealing face to face with customers in a high level technical role (ie Consultant, Designer, Senior Engineer), including delivering presentations
Excellent written & verbal skills
Practical experience of Cisco hardware essential
A sound understanding of best practice in terms of design methodology and enterprise networking in both WAN & LAN environment
Willingness to engage with team and learn/teach
Must have Alcatel-Lucent Scalable IP Networks (SRC) knowledge, 7750 SR-Service Router, ESS-Ethernet Service Switch 7450
Role purpose:
To provide bespoke, detailed customer designs and technical ownership to the businesses high profile accounts through the utilisation of specialist technical expertise. To add value, in terms of technical skills, to the various accounts through the issuing of detailed network solutions as well as technical leadership and implementation support.
Must have technical/professional qualifications:
CCNA/CCDA
(CCNP/CCDP of benefit but not essential)
Knowledge of PRINCE2 (or similar)
Must be a Fluent German Speaker.
