We are currently recruiting for our client, a prestigious telecommunications company, for a IT Storage Architect, to join their business in Germany.

Responsibilities:
- Participate and lead in Sales pursuits and design/develop IT Professional Services solutions to meet the client’s requirements.
- Participate and lead in Delivering IT Professional Services and design/develop solutions to meet the client’s requirements. Participate in and support the all aspects of the sales or delivery life cycle. including pre-sales solution development, bid management, contract negotiation, SLA/KPI developments, SOW creation, Due diligence, transition and operation solution development.
- Work closely with a team of professionals to provide support to new and existing DC customers, and work with customers to ensure their 100% success design, implementation and maintenance of the storage solution or backup solution
- Lead operations in support and maintenance of the virtualization, server, storage and backup system
- Participates in all phases of storage engineering, including design, analysis, and modeling at a highly technical level; analyze application and system requirements to provide integration and implementation support.
- Performs feasibility reviews of engineered solutions as well as integrating / educating storage operations teams on fit and function of new equipment and solutions.
- Analyzes, designs, tests, documents, and implements storage solutions for continuous data availability, integrity, storage and protection.
- Manages availability, latency, scalability, performance, capacity, and efficiency of storage services by engineering reliability into the overall storage design and architecture.
- Work closely with the Infrastructure engineers on timely resolution of Incidents and routine Service Requests
- Reviews and influences new and evolving design, architecture, standards, and methods for operating services and systems (i.e. cloud storage technologies, networking, security, virtualization, and various internal technologies initiatives).
- Oversees and implements storage system upgrades and optimization strategies, manages the frequency of appropriate support package/patch application and coordinates activities with other technical personnel as appropriate.
- Provides reports on storage capacity, performance, utilization and uptime of the storage arrays and servers attached to NAS/SAN.
- Provides guidance from a storage perspective in Backup and Disaster Recovery infrastructure planning, building, and testing.
- Develops and optimizes an efficient strategy for allocating storage to virtual and physical windows/Linux servers using Vmware vCenter tools.
- Possesses broader knowledge of Information Technology at large, with an understanding of related disciplines and how they interoperate.
- Design, manage backup procedures for VMware, Hyper-V, Oracle, MS SQL server
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualification
- Rich experiences on design and delivering big scale storage project
- Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex technical projects.
- Strong knowledge of SAN,NAS, understanding the implications of functions such as snapshot, mirror, replication, NDMP.
- Strong knowledge of the storage implications for enterprise virtualization solutions such as ESXi/Hyper-V is desired.
- Experience with a deep understanding in network file systems such as NFS/CIFS, Linux/Unix and virtualization environments is required.
- Previous experience in customer support, computer operations, Windows/Linux systems administration or another related area is required.
- Experience in a large data center with multiple terabytes of data.
- Solid understanding of storage area networks, Fiber Channel Switched Fabric, virtualization, including the limitations and benefits of each. Architecting storage solutions in an FC or Internet Protocol based SAN environment is required.
- Experience with Fibre Channel (FC) networks using devices from vendors such as Brocade or Cisco is required.
- Experience with tuning storage systems for performance and availability.
- Experience integrating Windows, Linux, and virtual systems with storage systems. Experience with UNIX(Solaris/HP-UX/AIX) is plus.
- Very strong Linux or windows administration and troubleshooting skills
- Strong understanding of server/storage platforms in a corporate infrastructure.
- Understanding of data communication protocols focusing on TCP/IP.
- Understanding of backup in virtualization environment
- Experience on backup solution such as Symantec Netbackup or EMC networker
- Experience with relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle Database is big plus
- Experiences with general service such as Windows AD, DNS, FTP, LDAP, SMTP, antivirus, VPN, monitoring technologies are a big plus.
- Experiences with TCP/IP is plus
