Senior STB Marketing Manager

We are currently recruiting for our client, a prestigious telecommunications company to support their project in Germany.

Position Title: Senior STB Marketing Manager
Position Type: Fixed term employment
Start Date: May 2017
Duration: 12 months initial

Responsibilities:
- Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates your products in the market
- Develop STB product roadmap and marketing strategy in line with company objectives.
- Develop the Charter of the STB project in Europe.
- Deep insight on the current overall European STB Market and trends for Service Providers, Content Providers, Telecoms, MSO’s, Middleware providers, CAS/DRM Vendors, OTT Players – Netflix, Amazon, Apple, Google, TiVo, Roku, etc.
- Deep insight on the STB competitors – Arris, Technicolor, Humax, Segemcom etc.
- Sales enablement – communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of your products
- Product launch, plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan
- Market intelligence; be the expert on your buyers, how they buy - buying criteria; be the expert on your competition and how to crush them.

Qualifications/Skills Required:
- 10+ years of STB product marketing experience with at least 2 years experience in a field facing role.
- Bachelor’s in business or marketing preferred, MBA desired, or equivalent work experience.
- Past Experience working with STB product area required, Past Experience working with MPEG-4 and DRM standards, Knowledgeable of relevant SoC solutions.
- Knowledge of IPTV, DVB, STB middleware, DOCSIS, CAS, DRM, RDK, HBBTV, Android TV, Cloud DVR, Linux.
- Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams, and third parties.
- Strongly fluent in relevancy of the following technologies; HEVC, EPG, FCC, FEC, HTML5, HLS/smooth streaming, MPEG DASH, DLNA and DRM from Verimatrix, Widewine and Playready, and CAS from Nagra, NDS and Viaacess, Single HEVC H.265 up to 4kp60 10-Bit Color, Quad HEVC H.p60 Decode, Signal VP9 4Kp60, Dual 720p30 Transcode etc.
- Bachelor of Telecom Communication, computer, electronics and marketing, or higher degree, or in business or marketing preferred, MBA desired.
- English fluency both verbal and very strong writing skills are essential.
