Interim Sourcing Manager (w/m) - approx. 12 monthGore’s Fabrics Division is seeking a Sourcing Manager to join the Global Sourcing team within Europe. This person shall support the Sourcing Leaders in the development of the global sourcing plan for one or more categories of raw materials and shall manage the regional execution of category sourcing plans.
This role is responsible for effective management of key supply chains within Europe, collaborating with sourcing category leaders to align regional execution against our global sourcing plans. Another task is to coordinate the activities of Associates in related functions to ensure vendors are meeting the needs within our agreed sourcing plans. This includes monitoring and control of Vendor Performance Standards, such as delivery on time, quality, financial performance, and contingency planning. At all times you will support delivery of significant reduction in total cost of raw materials, while ensuring effective partnerships, access to innovation, and continuity of supply. You will conduct new vendor certification and risk assessment as well as participating in product reviews, technical capability assessments, and related activities.
Your profile:
5 or more years’ experience in Sourcing, Purchasing, and related topics
Proven capability to drive difficult negotiations through to successful outcomes
A track record demonstrating achieved cost reduction
A proven ability to prioritize, influence, and deliver on agreed sourcing objectives
Excellent organizational, inter-personal and communication skills
Ability to effectively lead cross-functional projects in international environment
Willingness to travel up to 10 – 15% within the EMEA region
Fluent English, German would be an asset
