Java Developer required to work for our financial client in Hamburg Germany
Banking/J2EE/End-to-End IT Software Development Lifecycle/Waterfall/Agile/Java/J2EE Frameworks/Chordiant/Hibernate/Struts 2/JQuery/Ajax/Groovy/Gradle/Webservices/GIT/ WebSphere/Oracle/DB2/SQL/Large-Scale blue chip Organisations

A financial organisation based in Hamburg.
This is a Dev/Functional Technical Design role
The ideal person would:
- Be used to working in a Design/Build Hybrid environment
- Have experience of working very closely with BA's and would understand their requirements
- Have good analysis skills
- Have a good understanding of what developers do, but would not be coders themselves
- Be a Senior Java Developer with experience of Design in a team leader position
- Have used Java, Struts 2, JQuery, Ajax, etc on a regular basis
- Have experience of Test Driven and Behaviour Driven Development
- Have experience with Technical Consultancy's, requirement gathering, design
- Be used to working with Offshore colleagues
- Be required to produce a certain level of documentation, so excellent communication and technical skills are essential
- Ideally experience with Groovy, GIT and Gradle
Knowledge and Expertise: End-to-End Software Development Lifecycle
- Behaviour Driven Development
- JMS/MQ
- Webservices/knowledge of WSDL
- XML & XML Java Parsers (xsd, dtd)
- Application Servers (WebSphere preferred, Weblogic, JBoss)
- Databases (Oracle/DB2/SQL)
- Version Control Software (Clearcase/SVN/CVS)
- J2EE Frameworks (Chordiant, Hibernate, Struts)
- GIT, Groovy and Gradle
- Software development methodologies, eg waterfall, agile
- Project management methodologies, eg RUP, CMMi, Prince II, PMI
- Awareness of leading-edge tools, techniques and services within IT
- Software development using Java (Servlets, JSPs, EJB, Javascript)
- Software development consisting of some of the following languages and technologies:
This is initially a 3 month contract, with the opportunity to extend as required.
