For a customer I am currently looking for a Migration Engineering Architect (m/f). In the following you will find the whole description.Job description:
The candidate (m/f) needs to join the programmes architecture team for the migration of an old architecture to a cloud based infrastructure service for the group and its operating businesses. The task is to work with the business and partners to provide architectural governance and facilitate the creation of target architectural designs.
The architect (m/f) will serve as technology expert on delivering server, desktop, storage services, local area networks, wide area networks, data centres. The candidate (m/f) provides guidance and participates in design reviews and validates technology approach and associated work products. Additionally provides technical and project and programme leadership on Information Technology infrastructure engagements.
Skills needed:
- Experience as a VMware/virtualization architect
- Broad technical knowledge in many areas: WAN / LAN / MPLS / VPN, Virtualization, Storage / SAN / NAS / Archiving, MS Exchange / SharePoint, IBM Mainframe / Midrange platforms / Storage & Backup Technologies (ideally expert in two of these disciplines)
- Experience in automation and orchestration technologies (e.g. MBC bladelogic, VMware vCloud Director, Opsware, Chef, etc.)
- Experience of both migration and multi-discipline technologies
- Experienced with private, public or hybrid cloud
- Knowledge of technology trends and best practice
- Experienced in capturing technical requirements, defines technology solutions, and creating the conceptual, logical, and physical designs of the solution (in line with technical, quality, and financial Allianz standards)
- Ability to engage in all stages of the project life cycle from requirements through design, implementation, and into support
- Experience in Project Management
- Good knowledge of ITIL v3
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal)
