For our client in specialty chemicals industry, we are searching a Sharepoint Administrator/Architect to support the internal team.
Position: SharePoint Administrator/Consultant/Architect
Start date: December 2016
Duration: 3 months (+ extensions)
Volume: 5 days/week on site
Location: Leverkusen, Germany
Language: English required (speak and write), German beneficial
Project background:
Our client is currently working with SharePoint and is also using several in-house developments. Because of heavy workload our client needs support for the existing team. Current team: 3 developers, 2 administrators plus developers in India.
Tasks:
- Sharepoint Administration
- Problem Solving
- Cooperation/supervising of indian colleagues
- Managing server farms, services, service application management and SharePoint infrastructure in production and QA environment
- deploy solutions to production and QA environment. Operate and maintain high availability of environment by proactive monitoring
- Participate in backup, restore and disaster recovery of SharePoint farm
Required skills:
Must Have:
- SharePoint 2010/SP2013 certified administrator with excellent SharePoint administration experience (more than 8 years)
- Strong knowledge of SharePoint installation, configuration, administration and troubleshooting
- SharePoint Administration using Central Administration and PowerShell
- Expertise in SharePoint out of the box features and capabilities and Enterprise Site Collections administration
- Experience in creating virtual machines and setup SharePoint Servers in farm environment
- Fluent in English (speak and write)
Practical work experience expected in the following environment:
- Good knowledge of Windows Server administration
- Has to be confident in maintaining and updating Windows Server infrastructure
- Good knowledge of networks, IP, Active Directory and DNS
- Good knowledge of SQL Server Administration and SQL cluster administration
- Knowledge in load balancing as well as the concepts of high availability and scalability
Nice to have:
- Good implementation of integration of SQL BI features with SharePoint
- Experienced in end user support. Ensure accurate and timely response to problems
- Strong experience in SharePoint end user support. Communicate and interact with the Business/Users, troubleshooting and researching technical issues
- SharePoint 2016 will be an added advantage.
