Microstrategy consultant (SAP BW/HANA experience)
Our client requires a Microstrategy consultant with SAP BW/HANA experience to be based at their offices in Germany on a 3 month contract.
Your role and responsibilities as the Microstrategy consultant will be:
- Design, develop, implement, and validate report and dashboard solutions in MicroStrategy.
- Design, develop, implement, and validate report solutions in SSRS.
- Mentor junior Programmer/Analysts, acting as an SME in report/dashboard development.
- Work with business users, project teams, and/or PM/Business Systems Analysts to clarify report/project requirements and business rules.
- Create and execute unit test plans based on system and validation requirements.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and tune reporting and dashboard processes.
- Document all report or dashboard related work per client's SDLC/RDLC methodology.
- Perform data mapping specifications for maintenance and/or new implementations.
- Maintain existing code and fix bugs whenever needed including ad hoc data analysis
- Ensure that timelines of loading/validating data are met.
The essential skills and experience required for the Microstrategy consultant are:
- Knowledge of SAP BW/HANA as the Back End application.
- Expert knowledge developing dashboards and report templates using MicroStrategy Visual Insight and Reports
- Experience with report development using SSRS
- Strong database-related development skills (complex SQL queries, complex store procedures and user-defined functions in SQL Server).
- Ability to synthesize data from various sources, perform various types of data analysis and present the results for various organizational levels (eg staff, management, executives) of consumption and understanding.
- Familiarity with developing an ETL life cycle to support enterprise-wide data processing projects (ie, Enterprise Data Warehouse).
- Knowledge of Datamodelling and data mart design skills.
