On behalf of our client, an international bank, Dietzel & Company is looking for a

JIRA specialist - IS Assurance Service Provider (m/f)

Overview

This person will be work as a key resource within the banks Group Information Security department and CISO in connection to the IT business partners on capturing new workflow items, setting realistic expectations and ensuring these are built into the workflow system.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, development and configuration of JIRA core as an vulnerability management system for our team based on provided specification and use cases
• Migration of existing tickets (testing) with external connections into JIRA
• Review and reporting of workflow tickets in JIRA
• Negotiations with internal / external customer on outstanding requirements
• Re-establishing workflow deadlines and priorities to suit the unit’s changing prioritization of project
• Support and enhancement of first level filtering and pre-processing of input data to the JIRA tracking system using custom scripts
• Development of a connection to IT asset management for retrieving ownership data
• Automation of ticket assignment and further process steps
• Writing code documentation and performing unit tests
• Establishing a documentation of JIRA services provided by the unit, including daily working with the JIRA tool - user manual
• Deliver the draft for the JIRA Standard and Guideline
• Providing assistance to Team Manager in times of unavailability of team leader/s, ensuring workflows within the IS Assurance team continues as business as usual
• Support the delivery of key activities, work-streams, administration and reporting for major projects; including but not limited to development of Unit’s workflow management system.
• Build and maintain strong working knowledge of IS Assurance workflow landscape, making recommendations in process efficiency improvement and implementing these recommendations
• Work with the banks Group Information Security department and CISO in connection to the IT business partners on capturing new workflow items, setting realistic expectations and ensuring these are built into the workflow system
• Design of permission schemes and user groups
• Definition of ticket notification rules in correlation with workflow events
• Define workflow analytics and end-to-end service metric measuring for review and reporting purposes, making recommendations based on reporting data on daily targets, reporting task time value and workflow process improvements
• Collaboration on definition and integration of new input data from security tools

Required - Skills and Experience
• Workflow management and process improvement experience
• Excellent experience and understanding of JIRA software or other issue tracking software - including design, development and configuration of JIRA platform (JIRA Administrator Certification is favourable)
• Programming skills in Python, Java and experience with code versioning systems (Git)
• Experience in database design and SQL query building (Oracle, PostgreSQL)
• Good experience with security tools and technologies
• Experience about interconnecting different systems and technologies
• Knowledge about hardening the Tomcat web application server
• Ability to prioritise conflicting and changing due dates - rapid agile thinking
• Ability to manage relations with key internal units through changes
• Good understanding of security principles and security controls used to vulnerability management, focus on reporting abilities
• Agile project management methodology and skills
• Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple cross located teams
• Ability to research, prepare and deliver complex correspondence, reports and presentations
• Excellent interpersonal skills and extensive experience building relationships, managing 3rd party relationships
• Strong project management skills driving project execution
• Substantial experience and ability contributing to strategic projects in IT Security area.
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a complex and pressured work environment
• Ability and desire to contribute to the team ethos of being open, transparent and supportive
• Experience in using commodity office systems and packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, BizAgi
