A Global Renewable Energy client is looking for x 2 Consultant to work as Electrical Installation & Commissioning Supervisors for its offshore wind farm project. The Electrical Installation & Commissioning Supervisors will assist the commissioning manager in planning, implementation and documentation of the installation, supervision and commissioning process within the assigned technical area, such as, but not limited to, LV,MV, HV and SCADA. The Consultants will also support in electrical supervision for O&M buildings.This role is anticipated to be 3 months starting 1st October 2016 and ending by 31st December 2016 with the possibility of extending further thereafter. The Consultants hours of work will be approx. 12hrs a day for 2 weeks on duty followed by 2 weeks off duty period.
Responsibilities:
- Offshore works/commissioning supervisor and management.
- OSS operation and maintenance.
- Subcontractor's management offshore.
- Offshore crane operation.
- To ensure planning, implementation and documentation of the commissioning process in the assigned technical area.
- To participate in the toolbox meetings, coordinate and document commissioning work within the defined technical area.
- Execute commissioning within the defined technical area effectively and on time.
- To ensure that all work is compliant with the project HSE rules and local legislation.
- Ensure tests are carried out and that commissioning work is documented according to rules, procedures and templates.
- Take part in proactive management, good coordination and communication between all parties and that the process works effectively.
- Undertake any other activities, directed by the commissioning manager.
- Report to O & M facilities Construction Manager on all matters O & M Facilities.
- Participate in review, preparation and coordination of detailed commissioning schedules.
- To perform day-to-day supervision and management of the installation/commissioning personnel/contractors assigned.
- To control tests that are carried out and documented.
- Supervision and quality control during mounting/installation of electrical systems.
- Take part in witnessing of FAT, depending on schedule.
- SAT - report deviation/troubles to the package manager of the equipment.
- Take an active part of the SIT test especially by supporting the Protection and test engineers.
- Monitor and document performance test of sub-systems.
- Take part in preparation of snagging lists.
- To ensure that the necessary safety signs/notices, barriers and other safety measures are implemented on a day-to-day basis during commissioning.
- Co-operate to control that all HSE procedures are implemented.
- Co-operate to control that everything within defined technical area is covered with relation to subsequent operation.
- Ensure installation quality is according to the client's standard.
- Carry out tests on electrical equipment when required.
- 3 years relevant project experience required.
- Commissioning and installation/construction experience within the field of MV/HV equipment, SCADA, low voltage, protection and utility installation and components.
- Experience with onshore or offshore substation work.
- Must have full valid GWO certificates.
- HLO (Helideck Landing Officer Certification).
- HAD (Helicopter Deck Assistant certification).
- Level of competence in staff.
- Commissioning engineer or skilled electrician
- Good knowledge of HV/MV system on OSS
- Good knowledge of SCADA systems on OSS
- Good knowledge of utility and HVAC systems on OSS
- Minimum 6 months operation of the substations
- Minimum 6 months experience with crane operation offshore (3.5t knuckle boom crane)
- Minimum 6 months experience with HSE and Environment requirements offshore preferably in German sector
- Minimum 6 months experience with management of subcontractor work offshore
