SAS Database Programmer - Saxony, DE - 6 Months - €75 per hourOptimus Life Sciences and a client in Germany are working together to find 2x SAS Database Programmers to work on-site in Saxony in Southern Germany. The position requires applicants to have experience working with SDTM Mapping as well as being proficient in SAS, requiring a minimum of 5 years' industry experience and the ability to work autonomously.
Ideal candidates will have a background within the Oncological therapeutic area. The client is hoping for someone to start as soon as possible, they are hoping to run interviews and have things organised by the second week of June for a July 1st start. The position is due to finish on the 31st December 2016, but there will be a possibility for extension.

Tasks
- Setup and maintenance of project/substance databases (SAS)
- Build programs to create SAS datasets from clinical database, external data sources and other sources while following defined study protocol, statistical plans or specified mapping instructions
- Validate the programmed SAS datasets
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience working direct with SAS.
- Clinical experience.
- Strong SDTM Mapping and Transformation skills.
- Experience writing specifications and implementations.
- Oncology experience preferable.
