Task:Currently we are looking for a new member of our team of experts in order to accept an assignment as Physical Data Center (PDC) Administrator (f/m) in Frankfurt/Main including the following area of responsibility:
- Plan, prepare, test and implement (into existing data centers) the IT cabling, racks and technical infrastructure of the building
- Plan, organise and coordinate the physical roll-out / installation of new IT infrastructure
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation related to the specific IT infrastructure
- Monitor the infrastructure including power sockets, cabinets' temperature/humidity
- Resolve infrastructure incidents where possible
- Contribute to operational acceptance tests in order to ensure appropriate hand-over services to the production environment
- Contribute to projects' development and implementation phases regarding IT infrastructure
- Secure recovery and contingency exercises including providing IT Operations and Support staff in order to do so
Requirements (Must have):
-10+ years of experience of IT cabling infrastructure (including IT cabling standards, fiber cabling technology, RJ 45 copper technology, cable testing and verification )
- Excellent knowledge of technical building infrastructure for data centers, e.g. power distribution, HVACS systems, raised floor construction, fire extinguishing and prevention, water detection, building management, cable and satellite communications, as well as of security systems
- Proven experience of constructing, operating and modifying IT cabling and related building infrastructure, preferably in a mission-critical data center environment
- Excellent experience with Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools
- Experience with Trellis Inventory Manager and Project Planner DCIM tool
-Excellent command of oral and written English and at least good (level 3 of 5) command of oral and written German with proven drafting and proof reading ability
- proven experience in construction works (building construction, fire protection, cabling, HVAC, electrical installation)
- At least 1 year proven experience with Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM)
Nice to have:
- Experience with CAD programs such as AutoCAD and/or Autosketch
- Experience in LAN/WAN/SAN voice/data communications, server and storage systems
- Knowledge of IT Service Management processes and best practice (such as ITIL), in particular in the areas of problem management, release management, capacity planning and service level management
