For a client I am looking for a Business Analyst (m/w) for a project.The activity is reporting to the Finance and Accounitng (F&A) department. The role is also expected to be a member of the largest department at the company.
Start: ASAP Duration: 6 months Location: Near by Frankfurt/Main
The role has three groups of responsibilities:
- Support the office manager in maintaining financial compliance oft he local station in france (including VAT, taxes, duty, Taxe Professionnelle, social charges etc.)
- Ensure the financial processes (including payroll, invoicing, bank reconciliations, fixed asset etc.) are carried out in a manner compliant with the company policy
- Produce financial results each month with simple high level explanations
- Provide quarterly forecasts of the French location and prepare annual Budgets for this location
- Ensure the French location is complaint with the group transfer pricing policy
- Responsibility for the annual audit
- Support the product Business Line Manager (BLM) with consolidated monthly results and metrics
- Provide a forecast of one product Business Line each quarter
- Lead the preparation of the annual Performance
- Support the BLM updating and revising as needed the financial data and analysis included in the Business Line Strategy
- Provide proactive advice and guidance to the Business in order to improve the financial performance. Support the BLM with financial analysis of customers, products, suppliers, costs, working capital etc. as required to improve the performance and enable delivery of the strategy
- Provide adhoc support to the product line and BLM in analysis of business opportunities and investments
- Business Control of the Performance Specialty Business. The business is relatively simple compared to the Business line but requires financial advice and guidance in analysing their monthly performance, preparing quarterly forecasts and annual Budgets. The role will also provide financial expertise to help the Business improve performance and carry out analysis of opportunities
- F&A has numerous projects of its own and has demands for data, analysis and financial guidance and expertise from throughout the Company. Support the F&A leadership in these projects and activitiesQualification and experience
- Ideally French national very familiar with French financial and legal compliance
- Experience in process industries ideally chemical or oil and gas
- Experience working in a multi-national environment for a company
- Background and strong interest in Business Control with track record of guiding business management to improved performance
- Reasonable fluency in German and English languages
- Experience with SAP as ERP system is a plus, as is experience with IFRS
- Proven leadership and management skills
