Development Engineer (m/f)

Your tasks:
- Definition components requirements including critical characteristics
- Assure of all customer requirements, based on customer’s specifications
- Creation of product specifications and supplier’s specification
- Maintenance of bill of material (prototypes, series), tracking list of components and action plans in the particular valid systems.
- Set-up and monitoring of tooling schedule
- Follow-up of product validation
- Lead of product change management
- Execution of documentation of meeting minutes, visit minutes and journey minutes and also distribution of the documents.
- Follow-up of part life cycle documentation
- Coordination between the members of the project if comprehensive part changes occur (interface management)
- Analyze product, define action plan for improvement and implementation of changes in order to ensure product quality in line with customer expectation
- Presentation of product and action plan
- Prepare rework sheets
- Failure analysis on IP PO536
- Maturity improvement (coordination, definition, tracking)
Your qualifications
- Master's degree in engineering
- Experience in design and development within automotive industry interior systems (ideally for BMW)
- In-depth experience in project management process
- Team player with profound communication skills
- Experience in injection/slush/covering/welding processes/products
- Knowledge of instrument panel development is desirable
- Fluency in German and English
