Microwave Planning Engineer required in Cologne, German speaking, candidate should be authorised to work in Germany
Details
Deep knowledge of Microwave, PDH, ATM, Ethernet, IP, SDH networks, standards and protocols.
- Good knowledge of transmission physical mediums: air, optical fiber, coax, twisted pair.
- Solid microwave planning and design experience with Ericsson (Traffic Node), Huawei (RTN905, RTN950, RTN380) and Siae (ALCp2e), using IQ-Link and/or other microwave design tools.
- Ideally experience with Telefonica tools like APT, Mapinfo, NetSite, Daylight, TinaRifu, Transtool.
Non-technical:
- Fluency in German and English
- Quick learner, proactive, analytical thinker, able to work under pressure.
Job Description:
- Topology optimization and traffic re-routing for the consolidation of E+ and Telefonica.
- Perform High-level design, LOS Survey, Frequency Scanning and Low Level Design for Microwave Networks.
- Perform Link Planning and design engineering and generate link budget for microwave transmission networks.
- Perform Planning and design of SDH, PDH hybrid microwave links into the transmission networks (Both Access & Backbone).
- Preparing network design documents (work-packs).
- Providing technical support to implementation engineer on the field.
- Perform quality control checks in the network.
- Maintain current and accurate the transmission network topology documents, diagrams and databases to a standardized format.
