Beschreibung:On behalf of our Client we are searching freelance Support for following
Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Installation of Linux/Unix Operating System on physical and virtual servers through Kickstart, Jumpstart or Flash technology.
• System management (upgrading, patching and tuning), problem investigation and performance management.
• Installation and upgrade of third party products.
• Configuration and support of Veritas Volume Manager (disk group management, snapshots functionality, file systems creation/grow/shrink/removal, etc.) and
Veritas Cluster Server (custom agents, resource dependencies and criticality, network setup, monitoring, etc.).
• Maintain and ensure high-availability on server or application level (through clustering or stand-by hosts).
Qualifications and Required Skills (mandatory)
• University degree in Information Technology or equivalent
• Technical skills in the following domains are essential:
- Expertise in RedHat 5/6 (Kickstart, system maintenance, tuning and troubleshooting, etc.) with appropriate certification
- Expertise in Veritas Volume Manager and Cluster Server
- Expertise in Solaris10/11 administration (jumpstart/flash, system maintenance, tuning and troubleshooting, etc.) with appropriate certification
- 5+ years in System Administration in a highly critical environment
• Additional skills in one or more of the following areas will be of advantage:
- Knowledge of OpenVMS
- Knowledge of AIX
- Knowledge of Infiniband network for low latency applications
- Good knowledge of Sun SPARC, HP x86, HP Itanium platforms (including blade technology)
• The following interpersonal skills are essential
- Fluency in German and English
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Ability to work in a highly critical production environment
- Willingness to get expertise on new technologies
