Length of assignment: 6-12 months
Location: Berlin
Tasks:
• Monitoring and participating in project deliverables for both local, regional and global site initiatives
• Collaborate and communicate with global team members
• Regularly attend meetings at various times to accommodate global time variances of team
• Work on improving processes and workflows related to client administration & support
• Create and maintain documentation including process procedures, technical specifications, project plans, project schedules, meeting agendas and status reports as needed
• Provide timely and informative status reports to key stakeholders at all levels when appropriate
• Work with vendors when issues require outside support
• Be an advocate for team goals, provide high level support to global technical teams (L2) regarding business requirements and deliverables
Profile:
• Minimum of 4 - 5 yrs experience in support environment
• Current / past experience as a systems support engineer; (3 – 5 yrs) in a large enterprise environment
• Knowledge with some or all of these Applications / Tools;
o Microsoft’s SCOM / SCCM / OSD / USMT / GPO admin / app packaging
o Symantec products e.g. SEP 12;
o Autonomy’s Connected /
o PowerShell / VBS scripting
o Mac experience preferred, Unix a plus
• Demonstrated track record of successfully completing large / global project implementations from start to finish and complete the needed documentation for ongoing support
• Extensive knowledge of Windows platform, Win 7 & Win 8.1
• Ability to communicate proficiently in English for global audiences
• Positive personality and inclined to be successful while continually improving skills
• Capacity to work varied hours when needed
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience and education
• Aptitude to think logically and analyze business requirements and match those to technical standards and processes
• High degree of communication skills - both verbal and writing skills are critical
• Self-driven and be able to work with minimal direct supervision, while completing day to day activities required to keep the organization functioning
• Inclination to work well with other individuals / departments and varying levels of management
• Experience maintaining a positive business / customer relationship
• Talent to function effectively in a fast paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Solid team player with ability to lead as well as support co-workers with enthusiasm
